Switch Games Will You Play?
With over 32 million units sold to date, the Nintendo Switch outstripped the Wii U by more than 19 million units. This bounce back can largely be attributed to the pioneering nature of the new console. The fact that you can both play at home on your TV and on the go with the handheld device seems to have appealed to both casual and hardcore gamers.
It certainly doesn't hurt that there's not much of a drop in resolution when you use the handheld. When placed in the dock, the Switch's TV screen resolution is 1080 p, while the handheld is 720 p — this is quite impressive because both modes still have HD quality. That means your favorite games will be as immersive regardless of where you're playing.
You'll also be impressed by the wireless controllers. Two of the Joy-Cons (which come with the system) can be used as one controller or as individual controllers if you're playing with a friend. This was a big innovation for the Switch, making game play that much more interesting.
The console's storage is also worth noting. You can add an SD card to expand the storage system from the default 32 GB to 256 GB — or more if you buy another SD card. That means you can store around 20 games, give or take, as the majority of digital games are 5 GB.
You don't have to buy physical copies of the games anymore either. Instead, you can download them from the Nintendo eShop, which is constantly being updated with new games. You'll have access to everything from AAA studio games to indie releases, giving you plenty of variety no matter what type of gamer you are.
So what are some of the best Nintendo Switch games out there right now? We'll warn you — you'll definitely be using the handheld device as you won't want to stop playing these games!
