Over the years personal computers have seen a lot of upgrades: powerful processors, increased storage capacity, better graphics and higher memory. With all this power, people have been able to enjoy fast-paced, detail-oriented computer games, especially if they opt to build their own computers. Let's be honest here, we should thank the computer companies and Steam. Steam is a digital distribution platform operated by Valve Corp (which offers digital rights, video streaming, and multiplayer gaming). Steam changed the market for computer games.
Before Steam, we used to buy compact disks to install and play a game, but now all we need is a Steam account, credit cards, and a computer that can handle the system requirements.

When it comes to online, battle royale-style gameplay, PlayerUnkowns Battlegrounds is the best game available on Steam (sorry, Fortnite). The name may sound bad, but its gameplay is awesome. This game lets players shoot each other, loot items, and survive until they are the last man standing.

Rocket League ($19.99)
Imagine a sci-fi soccer game where your character is not a person, but a car. Yes, this game exists, and it’s called Rocket League. Rocket League is all about remote-controlled cars that can knock a giant football toward the goal. This game was slowly losing its player base, but a couple of tweaks and upgrades made this game popular again, especially after it was released on PS4.
The game mechanics are simple, and really, who doesn't want to use cars to play soccer during their free time?
Rainbow Six: Siege ($14.99)
This is a Tom Clancy game that suddenly became a success story. Nobody thought that Rainbow Six: Siege would reach millions of registered users (it has roughly 25 million). Warframe (Free)
Warframe lets you play as an alien ninja. If you are familiar with the gameplay in Destiny, then you can cope with this game immediately. Warframe allows you to take missions in either a solo mode or online co-op. You'll need to grind to get fancy and powerful sets of items. It is one of the best Steam games to date, not to mention one of the best free PC games.
Wolfstein II: The New Colossus ($59.99)
Wolfstein, developed by MachineGames, takes you back to a dark time in history. It’s similar to the Nazi-slaying-Call-of-Duty gameplay. Wolfstein II: The New Colossus gives you challenging boss fights, intense set-pieces, different types of weapons, and a great story filled with consistent gameplay. So now is the time to lock and load!

Divinity Original Sin is one of the most accomplished RPGs of all time. This game takes place in an enchanted fantasy world and has a deep, complicated combat model with a great storyline. Divinity Original Sin 2 enables players to play online co-op, split screen, tactical combat, create custom avatars, and mix and match countless skills.
If you are looking for an RPG game on PC, this is a must-have.
Inside ($19.99)
Inside is a brilliant piece of art, and a heartbreaker type of story. You play as a boy who is stuck in a nightmare world where a giant spider chases him all the time. All you have to do is solve environmental puzzles and evade flashlights by the oppressive government, and the shadow conspiracy.
